Material properties
1. Corrosion resistance:
The surface of the tinplate roll is coated with a tin layer, which
can effectively prevent iron from chemically reacting with acidic
and alkaline components in food and beverages, as well as oxygen
and moisture. For example, in canned fruit, the acidic juice of the
fruit will not easily corrode the tinplate because the tin layer
plays a role of isolation and protection, thereby extending the
shelf life of the food.
The tin layer can also resist the erosion of the can body by
external environmental factors, ensuring the quality of the food
and beverages in the can during storage and transportation.
2. Excellent weldability:
In the production process of food and beverage cans, good
weldability is crucial. This tinplate roll can efficiently form a
sealed structure of the can body through a welding process. For
example, when manufacturing cans, the side seams can be welded by
resistance welding and other methods to form a complete,
well-sealed can body to prevent food and beverages from leaking and
being contaminated.
